Carlyss, Louisiana - The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced that Walker Road, between Will Tom Lane and Thompson Road, in Carlyss, Louisiana will be closed to all traffic from 6 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

The reason for this closure is for pipe replacement.

Eastbound traffic will need to detour south on Pete Seay Road, then go east on Golden Road, and then head north on Thompson Road. Westbound traffic will need to detour south on Thompson Road, then go west on Golden Road, and then head north on Pete Seay Road.

All road work is dependent on weather conditions.

Drivers should expect some delays during construction and are asked to use caution when driving in the area.
