There will be a road closure on Sale Road in Lake Charles as progress continues on the West Prien Lake Road widening project.
As part of this project, the City of Lake Charles has been informed by contractors of an upcoming road closure for a portion of Sale Road. Starting from 7 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, both lanes of Sale Road between Briarwood Road and Burton Lane will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
This extended closure is necessary to reconstruct Sale Road, including the installation of underground drainage infrastructure on both the north and south sides of Sale Road.
It is important to note that the intersection of Sale Road and Grand Entry Lane as well as the intersection of Sale Road and Burton Lane will also be closed during this time. This closure is anticipated to last until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, barring any unforeseen weather conditions.
