Lake Charles, Louisiana – The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe weather in most of Southwest Louisiana. The primary threats expected are damaging winds and large hail. This weather event is projected to occur from the afternoon into the evening, with the possibility of severe storms beginning around 1 pm and tapering off around 7 pm.

It is important to note that the high temperatures for the day are not expected to reach the levels experienced yesterday, leading to the absence of a Heat Advisory in effect.
