Rikenjaks Acquires Old Location in Downtown Lake Charles
Rikenjaks Brewing Company recently announced that they have acquired their old location at 329 Broad Street in Downtown Lake Charles. The Broad Street location was popular for live music and drinks for many years in the early 2000’s before closing in 2006 after having multiple owners. Rikenjaks was reopened on Ryan street by Jay Ecker, one of the original owners of the Broad Street location, along with other business partners.
The Broad Street location was both a bar and a microbrewery, in addition to being one of the most well known live music venues in Lake Charles during the years that it was open. National acts including Blue October, Rat, Mike Zito, and Nothing More performed there, as well as well known local acts like Soul Vacation, Tuesday’s Debut, The Capulet, Colorcast Veteran, Magnolia Sons, Choke, Ashes of Babylon and many more.
A post on social media mentioned that the new (old) location will be named Panorama Music House, and will offer live music, cocktails, food and more.
