Repeat Offender in Louisiana Arrested For the 56th Time After Alleged Theft From Hardware Store in LaPlace

St John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana – A repeat offender in Louisiana has been arrested for the 56th time after allegedly stealing from a hardware store in LaPlace.

On April 28, 2023, the St John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that a repeat offender had been arrested for the 56th time.

Ulysses Joseph, 57, of LaPlace, Louisiana was arrested on April 20, 2023, and faces two separate criminal charges.

According to reports, Joseph was initially arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court for several traffic violations. While incarcerated, detectives reportedly developed Joseph as a suspect in the theft of a pressure washer from Home Depot in LaPlace that occurred on April 20, 2023.

At the time this was published, Joseph was in custody.

Since 1984, Joseph has been arrested 56 times in St. John Parish.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
