Rental Scam Suspect Wanted in Louisiana After Allegedly Stealing Deposits and Rent Payments

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Rental scam suspect wanted in Louisiana after allegedly stealing deposits and rent payments.

Baton Rouge authorities are on the hunt for a suspect who has been scamming potential renters. According to Capital Region Crime Stoppers and the Baton Rouge Police Department, detectives are seeking help in identifying the individual pictured in the featured image.

The suspect is believed to be posting photos of random houses for rent on various social media platforms. Once potential renters express interest, the suspect arranges to meet them at local restaurants to sign the lease and collect a deposit along with the first month’s rent. In exchange, the suspect hands over a set of keys.

However, when renters attempt to move in, they quickly discover that the keys do not work. It appears that the suspect has been running a rental scam and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
