Public Invited to Comment on Equipment Funded Through Federal Grant for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on July 13, 2022, that as part of the 2022 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program Local Formula Solicitation, the CPSO is proposing the procurement of one (1) cargo trailer, forty-one (41) tactical mini shields, and four (4) fatal vision kits (simulated driving goggles). This grant has an allocation of funding by the Bureau of Justice totaling $64,406.

The application for federal assistance under this grant is due by August 3, 2022, and public comments on this grant proposal are welcome. Within 10 days of this posting, all comments should be directed to Lt. Jennifer Creel, Director of Planning & Research, at (337) 431-8076.
