Prien Lake Road Closures Starting May 16 in Lake Charles
On May 13, 2022, The City of Lake Charles announced that a series of temporary road and lane closures are planned for West Prien Lake Road beginning Monday, May 16, 2022.
The details of these closures are as follows:
- Monday, May 16 – Friday, May, 20, 2022: From 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. daily, the northbound lane of West Prien Lake Road, between West Sale Road and Henderson Bayou Road, will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The southbound lane will remain open at all times.
This closure is to allow contractors to install new drainage infrastructure. - Overnight Monday, May 16, 2022: From 8 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2022 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, all lanes of West Prien Lake Road, between the intersection of Prien Lake Road and Ihles Road and St. Francis Forest Drive, will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
This closure is to allow contractors to install a new underground sewer line. - Overnight Tuesday, May 17, 2022: From 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, all lanes of West Prien Lake Road, between St. Francis Forest Drive and West Sale Road will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
This closure is to allow contractors to install a new underground sewer line.
