Press Release From the City of Sulphur Regarding Excessive Traffic on Maplewood Drive Due to I-210 Construction
Mayor Mike Danahay and Chief of Police Lewis Coats have announced that due to the I-210 construction, Sulphur City Hall and the Sulphur Police Department have received numerous complaints of excessive traffic on Maplewood Drive and in the surrounding neighborhoods. Officers with the Sulphur Police Department are closely monitoring this area to handle any situations that arise. An increase in police presence will be in the area to address public safety concerns such as speeding, stop sign violations and no thru truck violations.
