Planned Power Line Maintenance in Sulphur Will Affect Six Streets for Approximately 3.5 Hours

Sulphur, Louisiana – The City of Sulphur has announced that Entergy will conduct power line upgrades on Wednesday, April 2nd, necessitating a temporary power outage for residents on several streets.

According to city officials, the planned maintenance will begin at 8:30 AM and is expected to last approximately 3.5 hours. To safely complete the work, Entergy crews will need to de-energize power lines servicing parts of six streets in Sulphur.

Some residents with addresses on Sara Street, Tillman Street, Kim Street, Brandi Street, Ashley Street, and West Napoleon Street may experience interruptions to their electrical service during this period.

The temporary outage is necessary to ensure the safety of workers as they perform essential upgrades to the electrical infrastructure.

Residents in affected areas are advised to plan accordingly for the outage by taking precautions such as unplugging sensitive electronics, keeping refrigerators closed to maintain temperature, and making alternative arrangements if they rely on electricity for medical devices.

Entergy conducts maintenance and upgrades to its power distribution network to improve reliability and prevent unplanned outages during peak usage times or severe weather events.
