Potentially Threatening Behavior Towards Oak Park Middle, CPSB, CPSO Investigating

The Calcasieu Parish School Board and Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that they are investigating potentially threatening behavior towards Oak Park Middle School.
On November 9, 2021, around 12:50 pm the Calcasieu Parish School Board announced that they were aware of a situation involving potentially threatening behavior towards Oak Park Middle School. CPSB indicated that the alleged verbal threat is being taken very seriously and is being fully investigated by both the Calcasieu Parish School Board and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The school board said that the safety of faculty, staff, and students will always be their number one priority. They want to assure parents and guardians that Calcasieu Parish campuses are a safe places for students, and that will always be their primary focus.
