Possibility of Severe Weather Slight to Enhanced for Southwest Louisiana on March 30

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is predicting that a cold front will push through Southwest Louisiana on Wednesday, accompanied by a squall line of strong to severe thunderstorms. Very strong, damaging winds, large hail, and some tornadoes will be possible with stronger storms within the line. As for timing, on Monday, March 28, NWS Lake Charles indicated the line will develop to our west early Wednesday morning, arriving in southeast Texas by late morning, then shifting eastward throughout the afternoon and early evening. The severe threat for our area should come to a close by Wednesday evening.
