Louisiana – Louisiana State Police confirmed on October 21, 2022, that in July 2022, the Pineville Police Department (PPD) contacted the LSP Bureau of Investigations/Alexandria Field Office (LSP AFO) investigating evidence theft. According to PPD, a $5000 evidence packet was stolen from the PPD Criminal Investigations Bureau.
As a result of the investigation and information gathered, LSP AFO secured an arrest warrant for Donald A. Goff, 31. He was charged with malfeasance in office and theft over $5000 earlier today. Goff was booked without incident at the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office by LSP Detectives.
The Louisiana State Police will be in charge of the investigation. The investigation is still open and ongoing. There is currently no additional information available.
The public can also use the Louisiana State Police online reporting system, which includes a quick and secure reporting form that is reported to the relevant investigators. Citizens can access the form by going to www.lsp.org and clicking on the Suspicious Activity link.
