Police Officer in Louisiana Arrested for Malfeasance in Office After an Alleged Sexual Assault

Louisiana – According to Louisiana State Police, the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) contacted the LSP Bureau of Investigations/Alexandria Field Office (LSP AFO) on June 2, 2022, to investigate a complaint. The complaint was about an alleged sexual assault by a Marksville police officer. According to the victim, the police officer, Dana Adams, 45, committed a prohibited sexual act while performing official police duties. LSP AFO obtained an arrest warrant and charged Adams yesterday as a result of the investigation and information obtained. He was charged with  malfeasance in office and abuse of power. He was arrested and booked into the Avoyelles Parish Jail. The investigation was aided by APSO.

The Louisiana State Police will be in charge of the investigation. The investigation is still open and ongoing. At the time this was published, LSP indicated that there was no additional information available.
