Police Officer in Louisiana Arrested for Alleged Sexual Battery While on Duty

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on June 12, 2022, that detectives arrested an Oil City, Louisiana Police Officer who allegedly committed sexual battery while on duty, according to Sheriff Steve Prator. On Sunday, shortly after 7:30 a.m., William Fitzpatrick allegedly broke into a woman’s home without permission. He startled his victim by inappropriately touching her. Fitzpatrick was arrested on Sunday afternoon as a result of the investigation.

William Fitzpatrick, 39, was charged with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling (https://legis.la.gov/Legis/Law.aspx?d=78580) and misdemeanor sexual battery (https://legis.la.gov/Legis/Law.aspx?d=963337), and booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
