The incident led to a significant law enforcement response across neighborhood roads, drawing attention from local residents.

High-Speed Chase Begins in Texas

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on June 20, 2025, residents living around Choupique Road and Highway 90 reported seeing numerous police vehicles moving east at high speeds. According to witness accounts, the vehicles traveled swiftly along Highway 90, signaling a serious incident in progress.

Pursuit Continues Into Sulphur

Moments later, the chase reached Sulphur. Residents in neighborhoods between McMurry Park and Post Oak Road observed multiple police units patrolling local streets and entering a wooded area. Witnesses stated that the pursued individual abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot into the nearby woods.

Arrests Made Near McMurry Park

Sulphur police later confirmed they apprehended a man and a woman around 1 a.m. near McMurry Park. Authorities revealed that the chase started in Orange, Texas, but details about the original charges or what triggered the pursuit remained unavailable as of Friday morning.
