Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - Calcasieu Parish Police Jury's (CPPJ) Residential Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be returning to their regular operating hours starting Thursday, November 9th. With the end of Daylight Saving Time and shorter daylight hours, the centers will now be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The convenience centers, located at 2915 Post Oak Road in Sulphur and 5500 B Swift Plant Road in Lake Charles, are open weekly from Thursday to Monday. However, please note that they will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It's important to mention that the centers will also be closed on Saturday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day. This closure will allow the staff to pay their respects and honor our veterans.

Back in April, the centers extended their operating hours to make the most of Daylight Saving Time and the extended daylight hours. However, with the change in time, they will now be returning to their regular schedule.

If you require any additional information, contact the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury's Residential Solid Waste Convenience Centers at 337-721-3700.

These convenience centers provide an essential service to the community, allowing residents to safely and responsibly dispose of their solid waste.
