The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury is getting ready for the “Christmas at the Courthouse” celebration, which will take place at the Historic Calcasieu Courthouse, 1000 Ryan Street in Lake Charles, from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 3.
Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as other festive characters, will be on hand to spread holiday cheer and take photos with locals of all ages.
Stay after the lights are switched on at 5:30 p.m. to watch “The Polar Express,” a Christmas favorite. At the event, there will be complimentary popcorn, cotton candy, candy canes, soft drinks, and hot chocolate.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be canceled. The cancellation will be publicized in the media, on the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s website (calcasieuparish.gov), and on the CPPJ’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.
