On March 23, 2020, Governor John Bel Edwards issued a stay-at-home order to residents of Louisiana to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Only days later, governors from other states issued mandatory self-quarantine orders to those traveling to their states from Louisiana.
Currently, the self-quarantine orders are in place in several states for people traveling from Louisiana in an attempt to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In Texas, travelers who arrive from Louisiana must self-quarantine for 14 days after arriving. Previously this only affected people flying into Texas from New Orleans, but has been updated to include anyone traveling into Texas from Louisiana.

Florida Highway Patrol is setting up checkpoints to screen for vehicles arriving from Louisiana. Travelers will have to self-quarantine for 14 days or face up to 60 days in jail. The orders in Florida are also in place for travelers from Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.
Kansas also has similar orders asking travelers from Louisiana and Colorado to self-quarantine for 14 days after arriving in the state.
Orders from other states may be put in place in the future. If you plan on traveling to another state from Louisiana, you may want to check their official state websites.
