Pedestrian crashes are a significant concern on Louisiana highways. The absence of lighting, high speeds, and insufficient pedestrian infrastructure can increase risks for individuals on foot, particularly during night hours. Law enforcement continues to emphasize the importance of staying alert for vulnerable road users and urges drivers to uphold their legal responsibilities following any crash.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
