Pastor in Louisiana Arrested Suspected of Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile and Sexual Battery Over Multiple Years

St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana – A pastor in Louisiana has been arrested suspected of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and sexual battery over multiple years.

On March 8, 2023, Louisiana State Police (LSP) reported that Troopers from the LSP Special Victims Unit in New Orleans arrested Milton Martin III, 56, of Chalmette, Louisiana, on sexual battery charges connected to the sexual assault of a minor over a period of several years.

Troopers launched a thorough investigation in November 2022, which, according to investigators, revealed Martin had sexual contact with a minor on many occasions between 2010 and 2013 when the victim was 14 to 17 years of age. Based on the victim’s statements, Troopers acquired an arrest warrant for Martin in St. Bernard Parish.
Martin turned himself in on March 8, 2023, and was booked into the St. Bernard Parish Correctional Center for felony Sexual Battery and Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.

According to Louisiana State Police, this is an ongoing investigation. Additional charges could be levied.
