Part of Prien Lake Park in Lake Charles Closed for 250 Days for Repairs

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced that a substantial portion of Prien Lake Park will be closed beginning October 24, 2022. The shutdown, which is projected to last 250 days, is essential for hurricane repairs.

Due to safety concerns, the general public will be unable to enter restricted areas. The splash pad and playground will stay open. Furthermore, the closures have been designed to create a loop so that locals who use the park’s walking trails can still complete all of their steps during the repairs.

Visitors to the park are encouraged to be patient while these repairs are being completed. Any changes or delays will be communicated to the general public.

The Police Jury manages Prien Lake Park, which is located at 3700 West Prien Lake Road. Follow this link for more information on Calcasieu Parish parks.
