Sulphur, LA – Leblue’s Landing, a culinary staple in Sulphur, Louisiana for nearly a quarter century, will permanently close its doors on April 19, 2025. The establishment at 202 Henning Drive will transition to new ownership and return to its original name, Cajun Charlie’s, according to local sources.

The Downs family, current owners of Leblue’s Landing, has relocated to Toledo Bend Lake to focus on their new business venture, Big Bass Marina. There, they will continue offering their signature products including boudin, sausage, and seasonings, as well as deer processing services at the newly renovated facility.

David and Amanda Trahan, who currently operate Paradise Grill & Daiquiris in Sulphur, will take over the Henning Drive location and restore the Cajun Charlie’s brand name that preceded Leblue’s Landing.

The closure marks the end of more than two decades of service to Southwest Louisiana under the Leblue’s Landing name, a period during which the restaurant became known for its authentic Cajun cuisine and community presence.

Local patrons have just a few days to visit Leblue’s Landing before its transformation. Neither the current nor future owners have released details about potential menu changes or renovations that might accompany the transition to Cajun Charlie’s.
