One Suspect Arrested, Two Remain at Large in July 28 Murder Case in Louisiana

One suspect has been arrested, and two remain at large in the July 28 murder case in Louisiana.

William Cage was arrested as a principal to second-degree murder in the case of Makayla Moore’s death on July 29, 2023. The arrest was made by Zachary Police Department Detectives, Baton Rouge Police Department K-9 Unit, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, and Homicide Detectives in the area near Cezanne Avenue in Baton Rouge, close to midnight.

Two additional suspects in the case remain at large and efforts are being made to locate them.

Zachary Chief of Police Darryl Lawrence, Sr., thanked the Baton Rouge Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.

The incident, which involved a shooting on Friday, July 28, 2023, is currently under investigation.
