One Shot and Killed in Louisiana, and One Taken Into Custody by Homicide Detectives After Domestic Dispute in Baton Rouge

One person was shot and killed in Louisiana, and another person was taken into custody by homicide detectives after a domestic dispute in Baton Rouge.

On July 26, 2023, Javorie Springer, aged 23, was taken into custody by Baton Rouge Police Homicide Detectives for his alleged involvement in the tragic shooting death of 19-year-old Malik Clark.

Springer has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon and has been booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:50 am on July 26, on South River Road during a domestic dispute. Sadly, Clark died at the scene. Springer reportedly fled prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
