Alexandria, Louisiana – One person is dead, another is injured, and one person has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery and assault incident in Alexandria, Louisiana.
On Friday, August 4, 2023, at 11:05 PM, the Alexandria Police Department was alerted to a robbery in the 2100 block of North Bolton Avenue. Officers found the victim who reported being robbed and physically assaulted at gunpoint near Mimosa Drive and Tupelo Court. The victim also mentioned that a gun had been fired during the skirmish. Around the same time, the
Alexandria Police Department received another call about an individual, later identified as 18-year-old Dontavius Ceasor, who arrived at the Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound. Ceasor later died from his wounds. Upon investigation, the police confirmed both incidents were related and recognized the deceased (Ceasor) as one of the robbers.
On Sunday, August 6, 2023, another assailant, 18-year-old Tayshun Spearman from Alexandria, Louisiana, was apprehended. He faces charges of Armed Robbery and Second Degree Murder linked to the August 4 incident. The case is still under investigation.
