One Dead in Iowa, Louisiana Shooting: Calcasieu Parish Detectives Investigating

Iowa, Louisiana – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday morning in Iowa, Louisiana. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) was contacted by the Iowa Police Department to assist in the investigation.

According to officials, the shooting took place near the intersection of West 1st Street and South Bowers Avenue. The Iowa Police Department contacted CPSO around 10:00 a.m. to report the incident, which resulted in one death.

According to a statement by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, “At this time, the investigation is in its early stages, and detectives are actively working to gather information.” Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim or any potential suspects.

Law enforcement officials are currently processing the scene and interviewing witnesses. The cause of the shooting and the circumstances surrounding it remain unclear as investigators continue their work.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
