One Arrested and One Wanted in Connection with Burglaries and Thefts in Southwest Louisiana

Louisiana – According to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, BPSO began investigating a burglary and theft at an unoccupied residence in Ragley, Louisiana, in February. It was discovered that a substantial amount of property was stolen from the residence beginning in November 2021. Surveillance equipment was installed at the site during the investigation. On May 11th, two people were caught on camera committing a burglary in the early hours of the morning. During the course of the burglary, the surveillance equipment was stolen.

Photos of two suspects were released on the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Facebook page in order to solicit public assistance in identifying them. The community helped investigators identify and locate Walter Terrell Collins of Calcasieu Parish and Jacob Holland of Allen Parish by providing names of potential suspects. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted in the execution of search warrants at Collin’s residence. During the execution of the search warrants, BPSO surveillance equipment and approximately $18,000 in property stolen from the Ragley residence were recovered. A stolen enclosed utility trailer recovered at the residence was also reported stolen in Calcasieu Parish.

The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Walter Terrell Collins for one count of burglary and one count of theft in connection with the May burglary. For the previously reported burglary and theft at the same location, he was also arrested for one count of burglary and one count of theft $5,000-$25,000. Collins was also arrested and charged by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office for crimes committed in Calcasieu Parish.

Jacob Holland is currently evading authorities and is wanted on multiple counts of burglary and theft in Beauregard Parish.
