One Adult and One 16-Year-Old Suspect Arrested in Connection with Armed Robbery of Two Juveniles in Louisiana

Ascension Parish, Louisiana – One adult and one 16-year-old suspect have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of two juveniles in Louisiana.

Sheriff Bobby Webre has announced that the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit has made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Gonzales. On Friday, June 7 at approximately 11:39 p.m., two juveniles reported being robbed at gunpoint near Clouatre Road in Gonzales. The suspects forced the victims from their vehicle and took personal items, including cell phones and money. After an investigation, detectives identified Jade Boudreaux, 21, and a 16-year-old male as suspects and obtained arrest warrants.

Boudreaux was arrested at his residence and charged with two counts of armed robbery as well as contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. The juvenile suspect was located at the Florida Parishes Detention Center. The APSO Violent Crimes Unit is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the community and will continue to pursue those who commit violent crimes.

Reports indicated that Boudreaux will also be charged with two counts of armed robbery upon release.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
