Multiple Arrests Made in May 19 Shooting Case in Westlake

Five suspects have been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in Westlake on May 19, 2021.
 
On May 19, 2021, just after midnight officers with the Westlake Police Department responded to a shooting reported in the 1500 block of St. John Bosco. When officers arrived it was observed that there had been 5 rounds shot into a residence where there were two adults and three children.
 
Witnesses said that they observed three individuals run from the area shortly after the shots were fired. After further investigation, detectives served search warrants on multiple residences. During the searches, Westlake detectives recovered one stolen firearm. An arrest warrant was then issued and served on Contrellis Henry who is currently incarcerated. Henry has been charged with five counts of attempted second degree murder; criminal conspiracy; illegal discharge of firearm; and criminal street gang activity. Quindarxius Watley was arrested for another incident but is also charged with Resisting an Officer and Filing a False Public Record. Laquetta Watley was arrested for another incident and was later also charged with Obstruction of Justice. Two female juveniles were also arrested for five counts of attempted second degree murder; criminal conspiracy; and possession of a firearm by a juvenile.
 
An arrest warrant was also issued for Audrey Fisher for five counts of principal to attempted 2nd degree murder; and principal to illegal discharge of a firearm.
 
Westlake Police say that the investigation in this case is ongoing and more arrest are likely.
 
Westlake Police Department thanked the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Vehicle Crimes Division, ACTT Team, CAT Team, Lake Charles Police Department., and Lake Charles Police SWAT.
 
No one was injured during the shooting incident.
