Movies Under the Stars in Calcasieu Parish will Feature the Film “Hocus Pocus” on October 21
The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced that Movies Under the Stars is back this Friday with “Hocus Pocus.”
Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – Movies Under the Stars returns this Friday, October 21 with “Hocus Pocus”, a film about three witches who were executed in Salem 300 years ago, and vow to reappear on a future Halloween to wreak havoc on the town – and do whatever is necessary to gain immortality. The witches get their chance on Halloween 1993 when they’re accidentally brought back to life and turn their wrath on trick-or-treaters in order to gain immortal life before sunrise. It’s up to a teenager, his girlfriend, his kid sister – and a 300-year-old cat – to save the day.
The movie “Hocus Pocus” will be shown at River Bluff Park, 433 Theriot Road in Moss Bluff.
The movie will start at 6 p.m. Be sure to get there early to get the best spots. Residents are encouraged to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, and food, but there will be vendors present at every movie. Also, free popcorn and cotton candy will be served at the event.
Movie-goers are also invited to wear family-friendly Halloween costumes to each movie.
