Moss Bluff Road Closure: Detour Information for Goos Road Closure

Moss Bluff, Louisiana - A portion of Goos Road in Moss Bluff will be closed on Monday, November 18, as crews undertake tree removal work. The closure, scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will affect the stretch of Goos Road between Richard Road and Woodland Drive.

Motorists traveling north on Theriot Road will need to take a detour via Koonce Road, then proceed north on Bishop Johnny Hair Drive to US 171. From there, they can head north on US 171 to You Winn Road and finally travel east on You Winn Road to access Goos Road.

Meanwhile, drivers heading south on Goos Road should detour west on You Winn Road to US 171, then head south on US 171 to Bishop Johnny Hair Drive. They can then go east on Koonce Road to reconnect with Theriot Road.

To minimize disruption, detour signs will be posted along the affected routes. Local residents will be allowed to access the closed area, but through traffic will be prohibited. Motorists can expect delays and are advised to exercise caution when navigating the detour.
