Moss Bluff Middle School Student Arrested for Alleged Threats
Moss Bluff, Louisiana – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed on September 2, 2022, that on September 1, at around 5:00 p.m., CPSO deputies responded to a call about a student making threats at Moss Bluff Middle School.
During the first inquiry, investigators discovered that the 12-year-old had threatened to shoot other students on campus while at school. Following additional investigation, detectives interviewed the child, who was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center on terrorizing charges.
Detective Clay Planchard of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is the case’s lead investigator.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
