Moss Bluff, Louisiana — A shooting incident on February 14 has resulted in two arrests following a domestic disturbance in Calcasieu Parish. Deputies from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a residence on John Belle Road in Moss Bluff around 12:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from Glenn A. Duhon, Sr., 66, reporting a disturbance involving his son, Glenn A. Duhon, Jr., 42, both of Lake Charles.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that Duhon, Jr. had allegedly damaged the victim's vehicle during the altercation and subsequently shot himself before fleeing the scene. Duhon, Sr. indicated that he disposed of the firearm in a nearby wooded area shortly after his son left.

In response to the incident, deputies employed various resources and initiated a search for Duhon, Jr. Meanwhile, Violent Crimes detectives were called in to conduct a more thorough investigation. During their search of the residence, detectives discovered a modified shotgun.

Later that same day, deputies located Duhon, Jr. and transported him to a local hospital for treatment of his gunshot injuries. Following his recovery, he was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on February 18. Duhon, Jr. faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, battery of a dating partner, and simple criminal damage to property valued at less than $1,000. Judge Kendrick Guidry set his bond at $20,500.

Duhon, Sr. was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with obstruction of justice, as well as possession or dealing in unregistered or illegal firearms. He also had an outstanding warrant for possession of marijuana. His bond was set at $17,000.

Senior Corporal Jacob Guidry is the arresting deputy for this incident, while Detectives Tyler McKnight and Lauren Manuel are leading the ongoing investigation.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
