Morning Louisiana Crash on I-210 Prien Lake Bridge Near Lake Charles Claims Life of Texas Man
Lake Charles, Louisiana – A morning crash on the I-210 Prien Lake Bridge near Lake Charles, Louisiana claimed the life of a Texas man.
On April 26, 2023, Louisiana State Police (LSP) reported that Troop D responded to a fatal crash on the Interstate 210 Prien Lake Bridge in Calcasieu Parish soon before 4:30 a.m. Henry Leon Miller, 46, of Bridge City, Texas, was killed in the crash.
According to reports from LSP, the initial inquiry found that Miller was driving a 2017 Kia Forte east on I-210 before becoming disabled on the highway. Soon after, a 2010 Toyota Camry collided with the Kia on the driver’s side.
Miller died as a result of his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Toyota driver was securely restrained and suffered minor injuries.
Toxicology samples were collected from both drivers and will be analyzed. This crash is still being investigated.
So far in 2023, Troop D has investigated 11 fatal crashes that resulted in 12 deaths.
