Lake Charles, Louisiana – The McNeese Athletic Foundation is hosting its third Cowboy Block Party, a series of events held every Friday night before McNeese football home games. The block parties feature live music from different bands, with DJ Sparrow providing entertainment after the performances.
The schedule includes five events, with each party showcasing a different band, such as The Flamethrowers, Wayne Toups, Steel Shot, LA Roxx, and The Chee-Weez. Admission is free, and attendees can enjoy the event without any additional costs.
Food trucks will be available on-site, and outside food and drinks are permitted. Corporate sponsors, including Lake Charles Toyota and Deep South Productions, have played a significant role in making the block parties happen.
The goal is to bring the community together and create a memorable experience for attendees. McNeese Director of Athletics, Heath Schroyer, expresses excitement for the block parties and aims to make them bigger and better each year.

Each band plays from 7 pm until 9 pm followed by DJ Sparrow spinning tunes from 9:15-10:45 p.m.
