World Famous Cajun Extravaganza and Gumbo Cook-off
March 2, 2019 – Cooking begins at 7:30 am. Judging begins at 11:30 a.m. Gumbo will be served after judging until 1:30 p.m.

Amateur and professional teams will cook up all types of gumbo for the cook-off. Admission is $5, children 5 and under get in free.

A live band will play Mardi Gras dance music during the dance. Admission is free.

Mardi Gras Royal Gala
March 4, 2019 –  7 p.m.

Admission to the gala is $6 in advance or $7 at the door. Children 5 and under get in free.
A promenade of more than 60 local Mardi Gras krewes in costume for thousands of viewers.

41st Annual Iowa Chicken Run and Parade
March 5, 2019 – Doors open at 8 a.m. The Mardi Gras floats start lining up at 8:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 10 a.m.
