On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, the Calcasieu Parish School Board announced that Maplewood Elementary and Maplewood Middle schools would be dismissing students at noon due to a partial power outage on campus.
From CPSB: “This information is for the parents and guardians of students at Maplewood Elementary and Maplewood Middle. There will be early dismissal from school today due to a partial power outage on campus. School will be dismissing at noon. Normal dismissal procedures will be followed, and students will be dismissed following normal transportation plans. Lunch will be served prior to dismissal.”
