Sulphur City Police announced November 2, 2020, that construction on the Maplewood Drive Bridge in Sulphur has been completed and is open to traffic.

From the City of Sulphur – Beginning Monday, May 11th, the construction process for the replacement of the Maplewood Bridge will begin. Traffic will be reduced to local traffic only on Maplewood
Drive between Post Oak Rd. and Hazel St. with a complete closure occurring at the bridge. Motorists will need to use alternate routes. Through the duration of this project,
we are asking residents to utilize Cities Service Highway (Highway 108) or Beglis Parkway to Highway 90 or I-10 when possible to avoid traffic delays on Post Oak Rd.
