Man and Teen Arrested in Louisiana After 24-Mile High-Speed Chase in A Stolen Car
Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator reported on October 10, 2022, that a juvenile and an adult were apprehended and charged following a high-speed chase on Saturday.
Caddo deputies pursued a stolen white Dodge Charger while looking for a wanted juvenile out of Dallas. The high-speed chase began in Shreveport’s Cherokee Park neighborhood and concluded on Freedom’s Way near Keithville, Louisiana. Three individuals were observed jumping out of the stolen automobile and sprinting at the end of the 24-mile chase.
Jaquayvious Chatman, 20, was apprehended and arrested right away. The Shreveport, Louisiana citizen was arrested and charged with felony contributing to juvenile delinquency, resisting an officer, possession of a schedule IV controlled dangerous substance, possession of a schedule I controlled dangerous substance, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Deputies discovered the 16-year-old hiding behind a house during a yard-by-yard check of the neighborhood. He was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and booked into the Caddo Juvenile Detention Center.
During the incident, a gun, ammunition, and illegal drugs were seized.
The probe is still going on.
