Minden, Louisiana - Louisiana State Police Troop G investigators have arrested a Bossier City woman following a fatal single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 63-year-old passenger on Louisiana Highway 518 near Posey Lane Tuesday afternoon.
Tiffany Conley, 35, of Bossier City, was placed under arrest and booked into the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center on charges of vehicular homicide after the 1:35 p.m. crash that killed Eva Hunt, 63, of Doyline.
According to the preliminary investigation, Conley was driving a 2016 Dodge Durango west on Louisiana Highway 518 when the vehicle left the roadway for reasons still under investigation. The SUV struck an embankment and overturned, trapping both occupants inside.
Hunt, who was properly restrained in the front passenger seat, sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Conley, who was also wearing her seatbelt, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
During the investigation, state troopers suspected impairment played a role in the crash. Standard toxicology samples were collected from Conley and submitted for laboratory analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.
