Pineville, Louisiana – Louisiana State Police Troop E is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on Louisiana Highway 107 near Craig Path Road on October 18, 2025, claiming the life of a Pineville resident.
Ramon Galbon, 40, of Pineville, died at the scene after the 2009 Ford F-150 he was driving crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 7:20 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, Galbon was traveling south on Louisiana Highway 107 when his vehicle veered into the northbound lane for reasons still under investigation. The Ford struck the Chevrolet in a head-on collision.
Galbon was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding emergency personnel.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, who was also unrestrained, sustained minor injuries in the crash. Emergency medical services transported the driver to a local hospital for treatment.
Louisiana State Police investigators suspect impairment may have been a factor in the crash. Troopers collected standard toxicology samples from Galbon and submitted them for analysis. The results of the toxicology tests are pending.
The crash remains under active investigation by Louisiana State Police Troop E.
Authorities have not released the identity of the Chevrolet driver, and no charges have been announced at this time.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
