Sarepta, Louisiana - On February 28, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a tragic single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 371 near Bennett Road. The incident resulted in the death of 57-year-old Donnie Womack, a resident of Logansport, Louisiana.

According to the preliminary investigation, Womack was driving a 2012 Ford F-150 southbound on U.S. Highway 371 when, for reasons that are still under investigation, his vehicle veered off the roadway. The truck entered a private driveway and subsequently overturned. Womack, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
