New Orleans, Louisiana – In a successful operation, Troop NOLA Troopers recovered a stolen vehicle, firearm, and narcotics following a vehicle pursuit in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident began when Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Honda Accord for a traffic violation near Elysian Fields Avenue and S. Claiborne Avenue. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Brandon Alexander, refused to stop, leading to a pursuit.
The pursuit concluded near N. Claiborne Avenue and Touro Street, where Alexander abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. During his attempted escape, he discarded a Glock firearm and a bag containing narcotics. Alexander was quickly apprehended by Troopers and a subsequent investigation revealed that the Honda Accord was reported stolen from Texas, and the firearm was reported stolen in New Orleans. Additionally, Troopers seized 14 grams of Fentanyl and 22 doses of Suboxone.
Alexander was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Prison, facing multiple charges related to stolen property, firearm possession, and narcotics.
