Calcasieu Parish and Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has released an updated closure schedule for US 165 Northbound and Southbound at Interstate 10 in Calcasieu Parish and Jefferson Davis Parish. Motorists are advised to plan their route ahead to avoid delays and congestion.
According to the schedule, US 165 Northbound will be fully closed on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, while US 165 Southbound will be fully closed on Thursday, June 27, 2024. The closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
To minimize disruptions, detour routes have been designated for both northbound and southbound traffic.
For US 165 Northbound, drivers will need to detour by heading east onto I-10 South Frontage Road, then north onto LA 101, and finally north onto US 165. Alternatively, those traveling I-10 Westbound can detour by traveling west onto LA 3258, then north onto LA 383, and finally west onto I-10 Westbound on ramp at LA 383.
For US 165 Southbound, drivers will need to detour west onto LA 101, then south onto LA 383, then east onto LA 3258, and finally south onto US 165. Notably, the I-10 Westbound on ramp will remain open to US 165 Southbound traffic.
