Plaquemine, LA — A two-vehicle crash on January 10, 2025, resulted in the death of 34-year-old Randi Daigle from Plaquemine, Louisiana. The incident occurred just before 8:30 a.m. on LA 75, near Milly Plantation Road, when Troopers with the Louisiana State Police Troop A responded to the scene.
According to preliminary investigations, Daigle was driving a 2013 Nissan Altima southbound on LA 75 when she reportedly lost control of her vehicle. As she veered into the northbound lane, her car collided with a 2000 Ford F-250 that was traveling in the opposite direction. The specific reasons for Daigle’s loss of control are still under investigation.
Daigle was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and suffered serious injuries. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford, who was also unrestrained, sustained moderate injuries and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities have stated that standard toxicology samples will be taken from both drivers to determine if impairment was a factor in the crash. The results of these tests will provide further insight into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
As the investigation continues, officials urge drivers to prioritize safety by wearing seatbelts and maintaining control of their vehicles at all times.
