Louisiana Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest After 16 Pounds of Drugs Were Found

On March 14, 2022, shortly after 1:00 a.m., a Louisiana State Trooper from Troop G stopped a 2013 Ford Edge on I-20 in Bossier Parish for a traffic violation. After the trooper made contact with the driver, K-9 “Migo” detected the odor of a trained substance. A search of the vehicle yielded over twelve pounds of methamphetamine, two pounds of fentanyl, and two pounds of marijuana. The driver was arrested and booked into the Bossier Parish Jail on the appropriate charges.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
