Louisiana Teenager Arrested for Threatening Iowa High School on Social Media

Iowa, Louisiana - A 15-year-old student was arrested and charged with terrorizing after allegedly making a threat of a shooting at Iowa High School on social media. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received a call on September 5 regarding the threat, which prompted an investigation.

During the investigation, authorities were able to identify the responsible individual, and after speaking with her, she was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center. The Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted with the investigation.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office and the Calcasieu Parish School Board worked together to ensure the safety of the students and staff at Iowa High School.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
