Louisiana Teen Arrested for Allegedly Distributing Child Abuse Pornography
Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator said that on July 21, 2022, detectives from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a teenager after they allegedly discovered child abuse pornography on his devices.
Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Detective Thomas Lites discovered the teen in possession of four CSAM files during an investigation following a cyber tip (Child Sexual Abuse Material). Three of the files were distributed by the teenager. Det. Lites discovered that the teen requested and received CSAM files from other people online after further investigation.
The 16-year-old was arrested, taken to the Juvenile Detention Center, and booked on three counts of pornography involving juveniles with intent to distribute and one count of pornography involving juveniles.
The investigation is still ongoing, and additional charges may be brought.
