Louisiana Suspect Arrested in Welsh Cemetery For Alleged Possession of Drugs and Other Crimes

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana - Louisiana suspect arrested in Welsh cemetery for alleged possession of drugs and other crimes.

At the cemetery on Beaufort Street in Welsh, on July 26th, 2023 at 1 am, Deputies pulled over a tan Ford F-150 due to faulty equipment. Upon observing the driver's behavior, they suspected that the individual was under the influence of narcotics. With the driver's consent, the vehicle was searched, and illegal narcotics and paraphernalia were discovered. Consequently,

Stacy Lynn Benoit, a 45-year-old resident of Welsh, Louisiana, was arrested for possession of CDS II, possession of drug paraphernalia, and not having a license plate light.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
