At the cemetery on Beaufort Street in Welsh, on July 26th, 2023 at 1 am, Deputies pulled over a tan Ford F-150 due to faulty equipment. Upon observing the driver's behavior, they suspected that the individual was under the influence of narcotics. Stacy Lynn Benoit, a 45-year-old resident of Welsh, Louisiana, was arrested for possession of CDS II, possession of drug paraphernalia, and not having a license plate light.
